In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act further regulating employee benefits.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 100A of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words, “section 5 of chapter 15A”, in line 18, the following words:-

“an employee of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation who was killed in the line of duty or sustained injuries that were the direct and proximate cause of his death while working on construction on the state highway system, as defined in section 1 of chapter 6C,”

SECTION 2.  Said section 100A of said chapter 32, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after section (h) the following new section:-

(i) This section shall apply in the case of the death of an employee of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation employee occurring on or after September 14, 2010.
