An Act protecting volunteer law enforcement.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 89E of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 9, after the figure “152,”, the following words:- “or an auxiliary, intermittent, special, part-time or reserve police officer or volunteer deputy sherriff, “; and
further, in subsection (d) of clause 3 of said section 89E of said chapter 32, as so appearing, by inserting, in line 70, after the word “officer”, the following words:- “or volunteer deputy sherriff”
