An Act authorizing the town of Freetown to designate a check-off on its tax bills.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The town of Freetown may, subject to the approval of the commissioner of revenue, designate a place on its municipal tax bills, the motor vehicle excise tax bills or mail with such tax bills a separate form whereby taxpayers of the town can voluntarily check off, donate and pledge an amount of money which shall increase the amount already due and which shall be paid over to the Parade and Fireworks Fund for the support of the town’s independence day celebrations.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
