By Mr. Richard T. Moore, a petition (accompanied by resolve, Senate, No. 1517) of Richard T. Moore for legislation to authorize reprinting of the document “Art in the Massachusetts State House”.  State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.

Resolve authorizing reprinting of “Art in the Massachusetts State House”.

 

Resolved, that the Massachusetts Art Commission, established pursuant to section 19 of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby authorized and directed to update the document entitled, “Art in the Massachusetts State House,” published in 1986, ISBN: 0-961785 1-0-1 Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number 86-63635, to include all new portraits, statues, plaques and other objects of art permanently housed in the State House or on the grounds of the State House.  Said publication shall be provided at no cost to every public library in the commonwealth, and the secretary of the commonwealth is authorized to sell copies at the state house book store and gift cart and through commercial booksellers, provided, however, that any proceeds above the cost of publication shall be deposited in a separate fund for use in the preservation of the State House.  The commission is further authorized and directed to seek and accept gifts in the publication of said document.
