An Act relative to the appointment of executive secretaries.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 6A of the General Laws as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the sentence ending with “governor” in line 2, the sentence: “The governor shall select each secretary from a pool of candidates representing the 4 regions of the Commonwealth, defined as: East which includes Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, and Norfolk counties; South which includes Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties; Central which includes Worcester county; Western which includes Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire counties.".
