An Act regulating utility customer service.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1E of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(d) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any call center, billing center or complaint-handling function or activity of a distribution company or gas company, as defined in section 1, shall be physically situated within the commonwealth.
