An Act relative to safely passing on the left.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 89 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 8-9, the words “use all or part of an adjacent lane if it is safe to do so or wait for” and inserting in place thereof the following words:-

in no case on any roadway pass on the left when the road markings indicate two solid yellow lines except when the other vehicle is a class farm equipment or when the other vehicle has pulled over to the right of the roadway and there is

SECTION 2. Section 4A of chapter 89 is hereby amended by inserting after the word “shall”, in line 2, the following words:- in no case on any roadway pass on the left when the road markings indicate two solid yellow lines except when the other vehicle is a class farm equipment or when the other vehicle has pulled over to the right of the roadway and shall
