An Act providing for the enhanced protection of the dig safe law.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 40A of chapter 82 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserted at the end thereof the following:-

To receive a building permit from any city, town, or political subdivision, for any work requiring excavation, the individual shall provide certification of compliance with this section. The designation markings required by this section shall be performed by a trained utility employee.
