An Act relative to disabled veterans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 13 of chapter 6C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof a new subsection:-

(d) Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, any vehicle registered to any veteran deemed 100 per cent disabled by the Veterans' Administration of the United States government shall be exempt from paying any toll on the turnpike or metropolitan highway system or any other toll that may be assessed under this section. The department shall within one year of the effective date of this act promulgate rules and regulations to carry out the requirement under this subsection.
