An Act relative to veteran charity fraud.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1: Section 28 of chapter 68 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection after subsection (e):
(f) No person shall make any representation that he is soliciting contributions for or on behalf of veterans unless the person soliciting contributions (1) is a veteran or discloses to the source of the donation that he is not a veteran and (2) discloses to the source of the donation the percentage of the donation that will directly benefit veterans.
