An Act relative to the observation of Veterans Day.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 52A ½ of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
“An employee who is a veteran as defined in clause Forty-third of section 7 of chapter 4 or is a member of a department of war veterans listed in section 17 of chapter 8 shall be allowed and granted a leave of absence on Veterans Day and Memorial Day, with or without pay at the discretion of an employer.”
