An Act relative to certain designations in the towns of Northbridge, Uxbridge, and Dudley.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to dedicate a bridge as the Thomas S. Perron, USMC Memorial Bridge, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Bridge N-21-004 on Douglas Road over the Mumford River in the town of Northbridge shall be dedicated as the Corporal Thomas S. Perron, USMC, Memorial Bridge in honor of Corporal Thomas S. Perron, United States Marine Corps, who was killed in action in Beirut, Lebanon on October 23, 1983. The division of highways shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
