Rogers ( by vote of the town) for legislation to permit town resident, Evens Maurice, to apply and be considered for appointment to the position of police officer in the town of Arlington.  Public Service.  [Local Approval Received.]

In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act to permit town resident, Evens Maurice, to apply and be considered for appointment to the position of police officer in the town of Arlington.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any special of general law to the contrary, including without limitation Chapter 31 of the General Laws, Evens Maurice, a resident of the Town of Arlington, shall be eligible for consideration for appointment to the position of Police Officer in the Town of Arlington when his name appears on the existing certification list for that position and shall be eligible for appointment to that position resulting from such consideration, notwithstanding the fact that he has attained the age of 32.

SECTION 2. This act will take effect upon its passage.”
