An Act authorizing the State Retirement Board to grant creditable service to Marion Ishimoto-Yuille.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the State Board of Retirement shall credit Marion Ishimoto-Yuille, a state prison employee employed by the University of Massachusetts Correctional Health Program, with full-time creditable service for her employment service already so rendered from June 30, 2003 to June 30, 2013 for the purpose of determining her eligibility for a retirement allowance under Chapter 32 of the General Laws. Marion Ishimoto-Yuille must satisfy all other applicable requirements for a retirement allowance as set forth in Chapter 32 of the General Laws, and under the rules and regulations of the State Board of Retirement.
Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by Marion Ishimoto-Yuille to the state employees’ retirement system of an amount equal to the retirement contributions that would have been deducted under said Chapter 32 if she had received regular compensation during this entire period at a full-time annual rate based on the annual rate of regular compensation that she was receiving , plus regular interest thereon. Such repayment shall be made in one lump sum or in installments as the State Retirement Board shall prescribe. Any such payments must be completed prior to the effective date of any retirement allowance requested.
