An Act relative to transparency in private utility construction contracts.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The first sentence of section 83 of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "it", in line 4, the following words:- to be posted on the department’s website.

SECTION 2.  Section 83 of said chapter 164, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- Such construction companies shall also file reports monthly to the department, in a form prescribed by it to be posted on the department’s website, with respect to all work performed by private contractors upon, along, under, or across any public way, all private construction contractor bids ,the winning bid numbers , the contractor’s name, and duration to perform work. 

SECTION 3.  Section 83 of said chapter 164, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “Such”, in line 12, the following word:- construction.
