Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the city of Northampton retirement board may exclude Charlotte Carver and Mary Ann Tourjee, employees of the Lilly Library, an employing unit recently added to the Northampton Retirement System, from mandatory membership in the retirement system based upon their unique individual circumstances and the likelihood that they will not be eligible for a potential pension benefit.
