SECTION 1.Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, but subject to subsection (d) of section 9 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority may convey to the Local 103 I.B.E.W. Educational Corp. a certain parcel of land owned by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. The parcel is situated on the northerly side of Freeport street in the city of Boston and is more particularly bounded and described as follows:
A parcel of land formerly part of the June 14, 1955 state highway layout (L.O. No. 4309) for the Southeast Expressway, adjoining the westerly location line of the state highway alteration (L.O. No. 6801);
Beginning at a point of westerly location line of said L.O. No. 6801, said point bearing S80°50’02”W a distance of one hundred eighty and twenty eight hundredths (180.28) feet from station 90+18.21 of the main baseline of the aforesaid L.O. No. 4309 and extending thence, following said westerly location line; thence
S79°16'50"E a distance of ninety and zero hundredths (90.00) feet to a point; thence
S10°43'10"W a distance of two hundred forty and zero hundredths (240.00) feet to a point; thence
N79°16'50"W a distance of fifty and zero hundredths (50.00) feet to a point; thence
S10°43'10"W a distance of one hundred nineteen and twenty four hundredths (119.24) feet to a point; thence
S19°26'57"E a distance of two hundred thirty six and fifteen hundredths (236.15) feet to a point; thence
S60°10'55"E a distance of five and thirty seven hundredths (5.37) feet to a point; thence
S22°59'01"W a distance of forty and twenty nine hundredths (40.29) feet to a point; thence
N60°10'55"Wa distance of twenty five and zero hundredths (25.00) feet to a point; thence
N19°26'57"Wa distance of two hundred sixty one and eighty three hundredths (261.83) feet to a point; thence
N10°43'10"E a distance of three hundred seventy and zero (370.00) feet to the point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains an area of 37,150 square feet, more or less, and is more particularly shown as Parcel No. LT – 50 on plan of land entitled “The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plan of Road in the City of Boston, Suffolk County, altered and laid out as a state highway by the Department of Public Works”, Layout No. 6801, dated December 4, 1986, drawn by William Montouri and recorded with Suffolk county registry of deeds in book 13859, page 293.
SECTION 2.Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, but subject to subsection (d) of section 9 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, may release an access easement upon a certain parcel of land owned by the Local 103 I.B.E.W. located on Freeport Street in the city of Boston and more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of land now or formerly owned by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bounded by Freeport Street; thence
N59°39'32"Wby Freeport Street a distance of twenty and seven hundredths (20.07) feet to a point; thence
N25°24'18"Ea distance of two hundred forty and sixty three hundredths (240.63) feet to a point; thence
N22°59'01"Ea distance of forty four and eleven hundredths (44.11) feet to a point; thence
S60°10'55"E a distance of twenty and fourteen hundredths (20.14) feet to a point; thence
S22°59'01"Wa distance of forty two and fourteen hundredths (42.14) feet to a point; thence
S25°14'18"W a distance of two hundred forty two and seventy eight hundredths (242.78) feet to the point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains an area of 5,697 Square Feet, more or less, and is more particularly shown as Parcel E-1 on a plan by ASEC Corporation, Engineers and Architects, 383 Dorchester Avenue, Boston, MA 02127 entitled “Plan of Land for Fox Point – CSO Facility, Easement and Land Acquisition” dated February 1986, prepared by Wayne Barrow, recorded with the Suffolk county registry of deeds in book 16137, page 235.
SECTION 3.As consideration for the conveyance authorized in section 1, the Local 103 I.B.E.W. Educational Corp. shall pay to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority the sum of $372,000.
