An Act to include recycling education in the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Framework.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 71 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 93 the following section:-
Section 94. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Executive Office of Education, in consultation with the Department of Environmental Protection, shall include recycling education in the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Framework. Topics to be covered should include, but not be limited to, proper recycling methods, waste reduction, electronics recycling, and any other topics that the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Executive Office of Education, and the Department of Environmental Protection deem relevant.
