An Act authorizing the town of Freetown to pay a certain unpaid bill.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The Treasurer of the town of Freetown may pay, from sums appropriated, an unpaid bill incurred by the town in the amount of $59,000, which is legally unenforceable against the town, to Architectural Consulting Group, LLC, for consulting services provided to the town in connection with a planning study with respect to the rehabilitation, reuse, consolidation, and reconstruction of certain town-owned buildings, notwithstanding the failure of the town to comply with the laws relative to procurement and competitive bidding in the awarding of the contract.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
