An Act relative to residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after Section 72E the following section:-
Section 72E1/2. Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, nursing home and assisted living facility administrators shall conduct background checks of all potential residents to promote a safe living environment and for the protection of all current residents.
