An Act to secure child safety in family child care systems.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (a) of section 7 of chapter 15D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following paragraph:-
All family child care homes shall be subject to quarterly in-home checks without notice. If found not in compliance with CORI and DSS reporting required by the department, the family child care home shall be subject to suspension at the discretion of the department. If suspended, it shall be incumbent upon the department to secure an alternative child care opportunity for the displaced children
