An Act relative to Commonwealth Care eligibility.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 118H of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012, is hereby amended by inserting, in section 3, in subsection (a) the following new clause:-

(6) An individual is self-employed as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 12C, and the increase in the individual’s private insurance premium exceeds the average premium increase for private insurers in the state, as determined by the division of insurance, by more than 10 percent.
