An Act relative to direct contracting.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1:  Chapter 224 of the acts of 2012 is hereby amended by inserting after section 308, the following section:-

Section 309. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the office of Medicaid, the group insurance commission, and the commonwealth health insurance connector authority shall contract with risk-bearing provider organizations for the provision and coordination of health care services administered by such programs.  Such risk-bearing provider organizations that have obtained a risk certificate or a waiver from the Division of Insurance pursuant to section 3 of chapter 176T shall not be required to obtain additional insurance licensure under chapters 175, 176A, 176B, 176G, 176I or 176J of the General Laws.
