An Act relative to health and safety on public construction projects.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 39M of Chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subsection (c) by adding at the end thereof the following sentence:-
For the purposes of this section, each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every five years.
SECTION 2. Section 39S of Chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (c) the following subsection:-
(d) For the purposes of this section, each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every five years.
SECTION 3. Section 44A of Chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (f) the following subsection:-
(g) Every contract for construction, reconstruction, installation, demolition, maintenance or repair of any building by a public agency shall ensure that each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every five years.
