An Act relative to private construction contracts.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 27B of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 2, after the words “public works” the following words:-  project by an agency, executive office, department, board, commission, bureau, division or authority of the commonwealth or county, or municipality or any subdivision thereof.

SECTION 2.  Section 27B of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting, in line 7, after the following word “shall” the following words:- submit weekly to the awarding authority by mail, first class postage pre-paid, or by electronic mail, certified payroll records that shall consist of a complete copy of such records accompanied by a statement signed by the employer that indicates (a) such records are correct; and (b) the rate of wages paid to each performing the work of mechanic, apprentice, teamsters, chauffeurs, and laborers, and shall.
