An Act to update the alcohol excise tax.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 21 of Chapter 138, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 16, the words “three dollars and thirty cents” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— “nine dollars and ninety cents”.

SECTION 2.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 20, the word “three” and inserting in place thereof the following word:— “thirty-three”.

SECTION 3.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 24 and 25, the words “fifty-five cents” and inserting in place thereof the following word:— “one dollar and sixty-five cents”.

SECTION 4.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 27, the words “seventy cents” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— “two dollars and eighty cents”.

SECTION 5.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 30, the words “one dollar and ten cents” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— “four dollars and forty cents”.

SECTION 6.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 35, the words “four dollars and five cents” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— “twelve dollars and fifteen cents”.

SECTION 7.  Said Section 21 is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 38 and 39, the words “four dollars and five cents” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— “twelve dollars and fifteen cents”.
