An Act changing the definition of countable-income for MassHealth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 118E of the General Laws, in Section 12, is hereby amended by inserting the following:
An individual’s and the spouse’s net earned and unearned income less certain business expenses and standard income deductions is referred to as the countable-income amount. In determining gross monthly income, the MassHealth agency multiplies the average weekly income by 4.333 unless the income is monthly.
