An Act establishing a grants program to increase dental services to Medicaid eligible patients.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding at law to the contrary, the Massachusetts an appropriation of not less than $750,000 to be awarded as grants on a competitive basis, with not more than $250,000 appropriated in any one service area, to fund the costs associated with establishing provider services to non-profit dental providers who can document that over 50% of their patients served are Mass Health or Medicaid eligible.  These grants may be renewable given certain service goals as established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
