An Act relative to the safe placement of newborn infants.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 39 1/2 of chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 and 4, inclusive, the words "or manned fire station" and inserting in place thereof the following:- , manned fire station or with an emergency responder at an agreed upon location following a 911 call

SECTION 2. Section 39 1/2 of said chapter 119, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking, in line 6,  in the first instance in which it appears, the word "an" and inserting in place thereof the following:- and

SECTION 3. Section 39 1/2 of said chapter 119, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 16 and 17, inclusive, the words "hospital, police department or manned fire station" and inserting in place thereof the following:- designated facility

SECTION 4. Section 39 1/2 of said chapter 119, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 17, after the word "police" the following:- , emergency responder
