An Act relative to prohibiting the use of hotels and motels in connection with the emergency housing assistance program.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Paragraph (e) of subsection (A) of section 30 of chapter 23B of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following:- In no case shall the department house any family in need of temporary shelter in a hotel, as defined in subsection (c) of section 1 of chapter 64G, or a motel, as defined in subsection (e) of section 1 of chapter 64G.

SECTION 2 . Section 1 shall take effect 180 days after passage of this act.
