An Act relative to flag desecration.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1: Section 5 of Chapter 264 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the words “shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.” And inserting “shall be punished by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment in a house of correction for not more than two and one half years, or both.”
