An Act relative to mandated reporters.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 21 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in the definition of “mandated reporter”, after the words “drug and alcoholism counselor”, the following words:-  domestic violence worker.

SECTION 2.  Said section 21 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as so appearing,  is hereby further amended by inserting in the definition of “mandated reporter”, after the words “educational administrator”, drug and alcoholism counselor”, the following words:-  employee contracted by a public or private school facility.

SECTION 3.  Said section 21 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as so appearing,  is hereby further amended by inserting,  in the definition of “mandated reporter”, after the words “family counselor”, drug and alcoholism counselor”, the following words:-  athletic coach, tutor. 

SECTION 4.  Said section 21 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as so appearing,  is hereby further amended by inserting,  in the definition of “mandated reporter”, after the words “police officer”, the following words:-  animal control or humane officer.
