An Act relative to benefits for court officers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any special or general law to the contrary, any court officer regularly and permanently employed by the trial court who transferred from any county sheriff's department on or after January 1, 1998, shall be entitled to have his years of prior service during which he was regularly and permanently employed by that sheriff's department count toward his vacation benefits in the trial court.
