An Act relative to the Human Trafficking Trust Fund (HTTF).
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1: The second sentence of Section 66A of chapter 10, as appearing in section 5 of chapter 178 of the acts of 2011, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “sections” the following words:- 26D (c) and (d), 55, and 56 of chapter 265, and sections 8, 53A (b) and (c) of chapter 272 and fines and assessments collected pursuant to sections 26D (c) and (d), 50, 51, 54 of said chapter 265, sections 8, 53 (b) and (c), and 106 of said chapter 272, together with any interest, or earnings accrued on such monies through investment or deposit.
Section 2: Section 54 of chapter 265, as appearing in Section 23 of chapter 178 of the acts of 2011, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “sections” the following words:- 26D (c) and (d)
Section 3: Chapter 272 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 105 the following section:-
Section 106. The court shall transmit fines collected pursuant to sections 8 and 53A (b) and (c) to the state treasurer. The treasurer shall deposit such fines into the Victims of Human Trafficking Trust Fund established in section 66A of chapter 10.
