An Act relative to public safety on roadways and transit.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1: Chapter 269 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition shall be amended by adding the following new section:

Section 7A: If any of the persons so unlawfully assembled, willfully impedes and or intentionally disrupts a public “way” as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 90, a “State Highway System” or” State Public Transit System” as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 6c, or a “Railroad or Railway” as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 160 shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than five years or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars and imprisonment in jail for not more than two years.
