An Act relative to court appointed legal guardians.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any individual who had previously been granted a court appointed legal guardian and has been deemed incompetent due to a cognitive disability, as opposed to mental illness or a temporary medical issue, shall not be required to be re-evaluated prior to the appointment of a new court appointed legal guardian.
