An Act to strengthen felony motor vehicle homicide penalties.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 24G of chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking, in lines 14-17 of paragraph (a), the words:- “or by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction for not less than one year nor more than two and one-half years and a fine of not more than five thousand dollars.”
SECTION 2:
Section 24G of chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking, in line 18 of paragraph (a), the word:- “one” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “two and one-half.”
SECTION 3:
Section 24G of chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking, in line 21 of paragraph (a), the word:- “one” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “two and one-half.”
