An Act relative to the exemption of state income tax for low wage workers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Clause (2) of subsection (a) of section 2 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after subclause (Q), the following new subclause:-
(R) Income earned from an hourly wage of $13.00 per hour or less.
