An Act authorizing the Turners Falls Fire District to establish certain funds.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5F of chapter 40 or sections 53E ½ and 53F ½ of chapter 44 or of any other general or special law to the contrary, the Turners Falls Fire District shall be authorized to establish a receipts reserved for appropriation account consistent with the purposes of subsection (1) of said section 5F, revolving funds pursuant to said section 53E ½ and enterprise funds pursuant to said section 53F ½, all in the same manner and subject to the same requirements of said statutes as applicable to towns thereunder; provided, further that for purposes of this act, the executive body of the district shall be the prudential committee and the legislative body of the district shall be the district meeting.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
