An Act to allow municipalities to exempt small projects from the prevailing wage law.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the cities and towns of the Commonwealth, by a vote of the town, shall be able to exempt themselves from sections 26 through 27G of chapter 149 of the General Laws for projects estimated to cost $50,000 or less.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
