An Act to ensure access to necessary hospital services.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 51 of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following paragraph:-

Any licensed hospital that provides cardiac catheterization services, with an annual patient volume of at least 300 diagnostic procedures each calendar year by multiple physicians, or 150 procedures each calendar year by a sole physician, shall be deemed to comply with the volume requirements set forth by the Department and shall not be subject to any enforcement action by the Department solely due to volume levels.
