An Act relative to medical equipment suppliers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Section 39C of Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding, at the end of the section, the following sentence:
“Further, any health insurance company or hospital incorporated in the Commonwealth which contracts with a long-term or infusion pharmacy, durable medical equipment supplier, or respiratory equipment supplier shall ensure that, of the vendors that they contract with, no less than ten percent shall be certified by the Supplier Diversity Office of the Commonwealth.”
