An Act relative to the Massachusetts online prescription monitoring program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Pharmacists shall be included as participants in the Massachusetts Online Prescription Monitoring Program and shall be automatically enrolled as a participant in the Massachusetts Online Prescription Monitoring Program upon obtaining a new Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration or upon having their Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration renewed.
It shall be mandatory for Pharmacists to review the Massachusetts Online Prescription Monitoring Program prior to dispensing prescriptions to an individual.
