An Act relative to commercial use of hoisting equipment.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 53 of Chapter 146 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the last sentence of subsection (a) and replacing it with the following:-

Any operator of such hoisting machinery when it is being used exclusively for agricultural purposes or non-commercial use on the private property of the equipment owner shall be exempt from this section.

SECTION 2. Section 65A of Chapter 146 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 14 the figure “1” and replacing it with the figure “6”

;and further striking out, in line 15, the phrase “any 45 day period” and replacing it with the phrase “calendar year”.
