An Act increasing awareness of suspected opiate overdose deaths.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 22C of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section after section 70:-

SECTION 71: The state police shall prepare quarterly reports on suspected fatal opiate overdoses to be made available to any law enforcement agency, state agency, and municipal board of health director. The report shall include, but not be limited to, the dates of the deaths and the municipality of residence, gender, and age of the deceased. Dissemination of such information shall be subject to all confidentiality requirements otherwise imposed by law.
