An Act relative to the dissemination of criminal record information to private detectives licensed by the Department of State Police.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 147 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amending by inserting after section 23 the following section:

Section 23A. Persons licensed by the Department of State Police to conduct criminal investigations for the Committee for Public Council Services (CPCS) pursuant to sections 22 through 30 of chapter 147 shall have access to criminal offender record information under the provisions of section 172 of chapter 6.
