An Act relative to senior gun owner equity.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  Section 129B of chapter 140, as most recently amended by section 93 of chapter 68, is hereby further amended by inserting at the end of clause (10) the following:-

Notwithstanding the first sentence of clause (9A), the renewal fee for a firearm identification card for any person over the age of 64 shall be prorated and calculated by dividing the fee required for renewal under clause (9A) by 6 and multiplying that product by the number of years until the applicant becomes exempt from paying a renewal fee under this clause.
