An Act regulating residential paving.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION  1.  Section 1 of chapter 142A of the general laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the definition “residential contracting” and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-

“Residential Contracting”, the reconstruction, alteration, renovation, repair, modernization, conversion, improvement, removal, or demolition, or the construction of an addition to any pre-existing owner occupied building containing at least one but not more than four dwelling units, which building or portion thereof is used or designed to be used as a residence or dwelling unit, to structures which are adjacent to such residence or building or the application of any paving material, including but not limited to oil based paving and sealing materials, on a ground surface of the property of such residence from or adjacent to an area accessible to the property from a public or private way.

SECTION 2. Section 14 of chapter 142A of the general laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 43, the words “; or asphalt and driveway installation and maintenance.”
