An Act relative to captains of the Massachusetts Department of Correction.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the Massachusetts department of corrections will allow any employee of the rank of captain to convert and recode via payroll/comptroller/state board of retirement, any compensatory time or pay into holiday pay for the purposes of calculating salary for retirement purposes.
SECTION 2 The provisions of section 1 shall only apply to the time period from August 2009 to June 2012.
SECTION 3The provisions of this bill will expire on January 1, 2017 for any individual eligible for this conversion as provided for in section 1 and section 2.
