An Act relative to firefighters cessation program.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 41 of the General Laws is amended in Section 101A.by adding the following at the end: Prior to the termination of a firefighter or police officer for violating this section said employee shall be offered an opportunity to enter a smoking cessation program. Subsequent violation may be cause for dismissal.
